A GENERAL FORMULA OF TUNE SPREAD CAUSED BY MIDDLE PLANE ASYMMETRICAL MAGNETIC FIELD ERRORS

  • The betatron tune spread caused by magnetic field errors in accelerators is a very important parameter.In this paper a expression of middle plane asymmetrical magnetic field errors is obtained on the Maxwell equations,and a general formula formula of tune spread is derived starting from the transverse equations o motion.
