Abstract: Coherent X-ray scattering spectra of some explosives (black powder, TNT, etc.) and some non-explosives (sugar, milk powder, coffee, paper, etc.) have been measured using polychromatic X-rays (1.2—38.2KeV) on Beijing Synchrotron Radiation Facility of IHEP Beijing. The measured peak positions of X-ray diffraction spectra can be regarded as a 'fingerprint' of the explosives. Principally, peak positions and identification techniques of diffraction spectra can be used for the identification of explosives.
