Abstract: The frequency map analysis (FMA) method is systematically applied to the lattice of the BEPCⅡ storage ring for the first time in this paper. We compute characteristic parameters of the lattice with the Accelerator Toolbox (AT) code, in which the FMA method is imbedded, and compare the results with those of MAD and SAD codes. The lattices of the BEPCⅡ collision and injection modes are analyzed and optimized using FMA with the RF cavity and radiation on. Both on- and off-momentum frequency maps are studied to have a complete picture of dynamics. The synchro-betatron resonance is found to have large effect on the beam dynamics.
