Abstract: Using a large magnetic spectrometer, the vertical differential spectra for pions and protons in the momentum range (5—50)GeV/c at 3220 m above sea level were measured. The spectra of pions and protons can be given by jπ-(P)=9.6×10-4p-2.6(cm2﹒sr﹒s﹒GeV/c)-1 and jp(P)=1.26×10-3p-2.5(cm2﹒sr﹒s﹒GeV/c)-1 respectively. The flux ratio for pions to protons is 0.62±0.14.
