Abstract：
Using a large magnetic spectrometer, the vertical differential spectra for pions and protons in the momentum range (5—50)GeV/c at 3220 m above sea level were measured. The spectra of pions and protons can be given by j_π^－(P)=9.6×10^－⁴p^－^2.6(cm²﹒sr﹒s﹒GeV/c)^－¹ and j_p(P)=1.26×10^－³p^－^2.5(cm²﹒sr﹒s﹒GeV/c)^－¹ respectively. The flux ratio for pions to protons is 0.62±0.14.
