Abstract：
We have studied the registration characteristics of polycarbonate ChaoYang No.1 for ²³⁸U. The experimental range of ²³⁸U in it was determined. The relation between the energy of ²³⁸U and range and the relation between the energy and REL of ²³⁸U in it are calculated. The V_T versus REL response, the charge resolution and the mass resolution for heavy charged particles are analysed and discussed.
