Relativistic Study of Proton-Nucleus Elastic Scattering at Lower Energies
- Received Date: 1987-12-19
Abstract: The Lorentz invariant relativistic optical potential has been discussed at energies below 300 MeV. The Dirac equation with scalar and vector potentials is exactly solved by the partial wave method. The calculated results of proton-40Ca in the energy region 300-65 MeV are presented and compared with the experimental data of the differential cross section dσ/dΩ analyzing power Ay(θ) and spin rotation function Q(θ). It can be shown that the improved relativistic optical potential fits data well.
